- Step 1: On your computer, launch the default browser and navigate to the official Zoho Mail Sign-In page.
- Step 2: Log in to your Zoho Mail account with your login credentials.
- Step 3: Click the Two Factor Authentication tab at the top-right corner and switch the slider to Enabled.
- Step 4: Enable POP access on your Zoho Mail account from the Mail Accounts section.
- Step 5: To generate the application-specific password, click the My Account link at the top of the page and select Security from the left-side panel.
- Step 5: Select the App Passwords sub-menu and click the Generate New Password button under the Application Specific Passwords section.
- Step 6: If necessary, enter the app name for reference and click the Generate button.
- Step 7: Note down the application-specific password and open a new browser tab.
- Step 8: Open the Gmail Sign-In page and log in to your Gmail account.
- Step 9: Click the Settings icon at the top of the page.
- Step 10: Select Settings Accounts and Import Add a POP3 mail account you own.
- Step 11: Enter your Zoho Mail email address and click the Next Step button.
- Step 12: Input your email address with the domain name and enter your app-specific password in the Password field.
- Step 13: Input the Incoming mail server name, POP port, Outgoing mail server name, and SMTP port.
- Step 14: Input the Zoho Mail email address in the Username field and enter the application-specific password in the Password field.
- Step 15: Fill in the POP Server and Port fields. Select the required checkboxes.
- Step 16: After ensuring that you have selected the necessary settings, click the Add Account button.
- Step 17: Once your email account is added, select Yes and click the Next Step button.
- Step 18: Now, Gmail will send a code for confirmation to your Zoho Mail email address.
- Step 19: Open the Gmail email message on your Zoho Mail and note down the verification code.
- Step 20: Return to your Gmail account and enter the verification code in the Gmail confirmation window.
- Step 21: Click Verify to complete the email account setup.
- Step 22: Try sending a test email from the Zoho Mail account added in the Gmail suite and check if the 535 authentication failed on Zoho error has been resolved.
