Setting Up Sbcglobal Email With Outlook

  • Step 1: On your computer, open your Outlook email account.
  • Step 2: At the top-left corner, click on the File command tab of your Outlook window.
  • Step 3: Select Add Account.
  • Step 4: Enter your full name and also your email address in the required fields and then click Connect.
  • Step 5: Now, select the Account type.
  • In the Account settings window, type the following details.

    Incoming mail server

    Port

    Encryption method

    Outgoing mail server

    After entering the details, ensure that you enable the Require logon using Secure Password Authentication option and then click Next.

  • Step 6: Now, your account starts the testing process.
  • Step 7: Finally, click Close.
  • In case you are using a Gmail account, then follow the simple steps given below.

  • Step 8: On your computer, open Gmail.
  • Step 9: At the top-right corner, click Settings and then select See all settings.
  • Step 10: On the next page, select the Accounts and Import tab at the top.
  • Step 11: Select Add another email address.
  • Step 12: Enter the full email address and then click Next. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Step 13: Enter the required details, such as email address, password, and port number for the email settings.
  • Step 14: After completing the procedure, click Close.
  • If you are using Thunderbird email client, ensure that you do the following.

  • Step 15: Start opening your Thunderbird mail account. You’ll see the three horizontal lines at the top-right corner. Try clicking on the menu to select Account Settings.
  • Step 16: You’ll find Account actions at the bottom-left corner. You can now choose that option to select Add Mail account. Now, start entering the required details. Do not forget to enable the Remember password option.
  • Step 17: Finally, click Configure manually…
  • Step 18: On the next screen, type the Incoming and Outgoing server names and the other essential details to complete the email settings.
