  • Step 4: Click Next and select the "Manual setup or additional server types" radio button located at the bottom of the Auto-Account Setup window.
  • Step 5: Select the POP option and click Next

  • Step 7: Enter the full email id in the Email Address field.
  • Step 8: Under Server Information, choose POP in the Account Type pull-down bar.
  • Step 9: Type the incoming mail server name "pop3.comcast.net" in the Incoming mail server field.
  • Step 10: Enter "smtp.comcast.net" in the Outgoing mail server(SMTP) field.
  • Step 11: Under Logon Information, type your Comcast email id in the User Name field.
  • Step 12: Type the correct password of the Comcast email in the Password field.
  • Step 13: Click the More Settings button and navigate to the Outgoing Server tab.
  • Step 14: Mark the "My Outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication" checkbox.
  • Step 15: Click the radio button "Use same settings as my incoming mail server." 
  • Step 16: Go to the Advanced tab and enter the port number 995 in the Incoming server field.
  • Step 17: Choose SSL in the drop-down box near the Use the following type of encrypted connection field.
  • Step 18: Enter port number 587 in the Outgoing server(SMTP) field and select TLS in the pull-down bar.
  • Step 19: Click the OK button to close the More Settings window.
  • Step 20: Click the Test Account Settings button to verify the server settings.
  • Step 21: Click the Next button followed by Finish to complete the configuration.
