COnfiguration Of G Suite SMTP Settings

SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.  It allows you to transmit an email over the internet using the SMTP server. If you have a G Suite or Gmail account, you can use the Gmail server as the SMTP server. The G suite SMTP settings are mentioned below.

  • Step 1: Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
  • Step 2: Port (TLS enabled): 587
  • Step 3: Port (SSL enabled): 465

G Suite Account Via Gmail SMTP Server

  • Step 1: Before configuring the G Suite Settings, enable the 2-step verification on your Google account.
  • Step 2: Open the default browser on your computer and go to the Gmail Sign-In  page.
  • Step 3: Enter your Gmail address and password in the required fields.
  • Step 4: Navigate to the left-side panel and click the Security  tab.
  • Step 5: Scroll down the window and click the 2-Step Verification  button.
  • Step 6: Next, click the Get Started  button and follow the on-screen prompts to enable the 2-step verification.
  • Step 7: To get the password, you need a mobile phone for verification.
  • Step 8: You will be given a unique password for the secure configuration.
  • Step 9: Next, configure the SMTP server for G suite SMTP settings.
  • Step 10: Enter “smtp.gmail.com”  as the outgoing mail server name.
  • Step 11: In the Port  field, enter the port number 465  if you wish to use the SSL  encryption.
  • Step 12: Otherwise, enter the port number 587  in the Port  field if you wish to use the TLS  encryption.
  • Step 13: Enter “imap.gmail.com”  as the incoming mail server name.
  • Step 14: Enter 993  in the Port  field if you wish to use the SSL  encryption.
  • Step 15: Under login information, enter your G Suite address and password in the required fields.
  • Step 16: Ensure that you have signed in to your G Suite account before configuring it on an app or device.
  • Step 17: If you aren’t able to configure the G suite SMTP settings, click the Call  button available on this screen to contact our technical support team.
