  • Step 2:Type %APPDATA%\Thunderbird\Profiles\ in the Open field and press the Enter key on the keyboard.
  • Step 3:Now, you will see your profile folder.

Step 2 - Backup Your Profile

  • Step 1:If the Thunderbird email client is opened already, close it.
  • Step 2:Right-click your profile folder and select the Copy option.
  • Step 3:Navigate to the drive where you want to create the backup.
  • Step 4:Right-click anywhere on the screen and select the Paste option.
  • Step 5:All the local email messages, including your personal information stored in the Thunderbird’s profile folder, will be moved to your drive.

Step 3 - Restore A Backup

  • Step 1:You can even restore your backed up Thunderbird emails later.
  • Step 2:To do this, go to the drive where you have created the backup.
  • Step 3:Copy the profile folder.
  • Step 4:Return to the %APPDATA%\Thunderbird\Profiles\ location and paste the copied profile folder.
