  • Step 5: Fill the Your Name, E-mail Address, Password, and Retype Password text fields.

  • Step 7: Select the Internet E-mail option.
  • Step 8: Now the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box will appear on the screen with the User Information, Server Information, and Logon Information sections.
  • Step 9: In the text box below the User Information section, enter your full name and the email address correctly.
  • Step 10: In the text fields below the Server Information section, select the IMAP option from the Account Type drop-down menu and enter the Incoming mail server & Outgoing mail server (SMTP) address.
  • Step 11: The Incoming mail server address is imap.gmail.com.
  • Step 12: The Outgoing mail server address is smtp.gmail.com
  • Step 13: Enter your Google email address and its password in the User Name and Password text fields available below the Logon Information section.
  • Step 14: If required, enable the Remember password option.
  • Step 15: Now, click the More Settings button on the same dialog box.
  • Step 16: Click the Outgoing Server tab and enable the first two options.
  • Step 17: Navigate to the Advanced tab, type 993 in the Incoming server (IMAP) field, and 587 in the Outgoing server (SMTP) text box.
  • Step 18: Select the SSL option for the incoming server’s encryption type.
  • Step 19: Similarly, choose the TLS option for the outgoing server’s encryption type.
  • Step 20: Click OK Next Finish.
  • Step 21: To check if the configuration is done successfully, try to send a test mail.
