Sending emails to a group of people can be made easy by creating an email list. Add all your contacts to whom you wish to send frequent email updates to that email list. Then, hile composing your email, you do not want to add them one-by-one. All that you need to do is simply add the email list, and your email will be sent to all those contacts.

Step 1: Creating an email list

To send a group email, you have to create an email list. Follow the below steps to create an email list in gmail.

  • Step 1:Launch a web browser on your computer to access your Gmail account.

  • Step 3:When you log in to your Gmail account, hover to the right end of the window. Near your Gmail profile icon, there will be a grid icon.
  • Step 4:Click on the grid icon. Scroll down the drop-down list and select the Contacts icon from it. This will open the Google Contacts on your web browser.
  • Step 5:In the Google Contacts window, click on the Create Label option under Labels in the left section.
  • Step 6:A pop-up will be displayed on your window. 
  • Step 7:Enter a name for your email group in the pop-up and click the OK button.
  • Step 8:Your email group will be created, and it will be displayed under the Labels section in the left pane of the Google Contacts window.

Step 2: Adding contacts to your email group

Once you create a group email in Gmail, you have to add your contacts to that group. The procedure to add contacts to your email group in Gmail are given below.

  • Step 1:Access your Google Contacts webpage.
  • Step 2:Then, click on the Contacts option from the left pane.
  • Step 3:The right section will list all your Gmail contacts.
  • Step 4:Now, click on the checkbox near the contacts that you wish to add to your email group.
  • Step 5:After selecting the contacts, click the Manage labels icon at the right top.
  • Step 6:From the drop-down list, select your group name.
  • Step 7:Then, click the Apply option. All the selected contacts will be added to your email group.
  • Step 8:Click on your email group under the Labels section to check the contacts added to the group.

Step 3: Creating a group email

  • Step 1:Sign in to your Gmail account using your email address and password.
  • Step 2:Click on the Compose option located on the left side of the window.
  • Step 3:A new window titled ‘New Message’ will open.
  • Step 4:Now, in the To field, enter the name of your email group and select it from the suggestion.
  • Step 5:Then, enter the Subject for your email.
