Enabling Mail Forwarding In Outlook

To enable Mail Forwarding, you have to turn on the two-step verification. It helps you protect your account by preventing unauthorized sign-ins. If two-step verification is not turned on, you will be prompted to enable it while turning on automatic forwarding.

Turning On Two-Step Verification

  • Step 1: From the Microsoft page, go to the Security Basics page and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  • Step 2: Choose More security options.
  • Step 3: Select Set up two-step verification under Two-step verification and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Turning On Mail Forwarding

  • Step 1: In Outlook, select Settings > View all Outlook Settings.

  • Step 2: Click the Inbox rules tab.
  • Step 3: Click the arrow symbol and then select Create a new rule for arriving messages.
  • Step 4: Select Apply to all messages.
  • Step 5: Under Do the following section, click More Options.
  • Step 6: Click Forward the message to or Forward the message as an attachment to and select the address by double-clicking it.
  • Step 7: Click OK and then click Save.
