Creating a group on your email account makes your work more comfortable when you are in need of sending an email to multiple contacts. That, too, if you are about to send emails to the same persons on a regular basis, like some email campaign, a family group, a friends group, then an email group is the option.
- Step 1:Open a web browser on your computer.
- Step 2:Sign in to your Gmail account using your email address and password.
- Step 3:Once you sign in to your Gmail account, click on the grid icon on the right end.
- Step 4:Scroll down the list and select the Contacts icon.
- Step 5:Now, the Google Contacts web page will open. It will have all your saved email contact.
- Step 6:In the Google Contact window, click on the Create label option.
- Step 7:The Create label pop-up window will open. In that window, type a name for your group in the text field and click OK.
- Step 8:The newly created group name will be listed on the left pane of the Google Contacts window in the Labels section.
- Step 9:If you click on your newly created group name, there won’t be any contacts in it. So you have to add your contacts to that group.
- Step 10:Now, click the Contacts option in the left pane of the Google Contacts window. The right section will display all your email contacts.
- Step 11:You can add your contacts one-by-one. For this, move to the right end of your contact and click the more options icon.
- Step 12:From the drop-down list, select your email group. Now the particular contact will be added to your email group.
- Step 13:You can also add multiple contacts to your email group at the same time. For this, first, you have to checkmark each contact that you want to add to your email group.
- Step 14:Then, at the right top, you can see the Manage label icon. Click the Manage label icon and select your group name from the list.
- Step 15:All the contacts you selected will be included to your email group. You can verify it as well.
- Step 16:Now, click your email group name from the left pane of the Google Contacts window.
- Step 17:The right section will list all the contacts added to that group.
- Step 18:Now, you can send emails to your email group by just typing your email group name in the To field while composing a new email.
