Fix iCloud Verification Failed Issue

If you see the ‘iCloud Verification Failed: There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server’ message on the screen, proceed with the troubleshooting instructions mentioned below.

Internet Connection

  • Step 1: iOS - Tap the Wi-Fi option on the Settings screen.
  • Step 2: Tap the info icon next to your wireless network connection and select the Forget This Network option followed by the Forget option.
  • Step 3: Turn off Wi-Fi and then turn it on.
  • Step 4: Select your Wi-Fi network and then enter its password if prompted.
  • Step 5: If needed, reset network settings on your device.
  • Step 6: To do so, tap Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.
  • Step 7: Make sure the device is placed near your router.
  • Step 8: If the internet connection is the reason for this problem, restart the router and your modem.

Date & Time Settings

  • Step 1: iOS - On the Settings screen, select the General option followed by the Date & Time option.

Changing Your Apple ID Password

  • Step 1: Sometimes, the iCloud verification problem arises due to the old Apple ID password.
  • Step 2: Visit the Apple ID website, click the Manage your Apple ID option, and enter your Apple ID and password to log in to your account.
  • Step 3: Click Password and Security, answer your security questions, and select the Change Password option. This will help you to fix iCloud verification failed issue.
