Usually, an internal mail relay processing error has occurred while sending a message from the sender’s server to the receiver’s server. Sometimes this error is related to bounce mails.   • Step 1: On your computer, initialize the Exchange Server Manager service.

  • Step 4: Select the Administrative Group Name option, followed by Server.
  • Step 5: From the list of servers, select your server name.
  • Step 6: After selecting your server name, click the Protocols tab.
  • Step 7: Select the SMTP option to resolve internal mail relay Processing error.
  • Step 8: Locate the Default SMTP Virtual Server option and right-click on it.
  • Step 9: Choose the Properties option from the menu list.
  • Step 10: On the Properties dialog box, click the Access tab.
  • Step 11: Select the Relay to select only the list below option.
  • Step 12: The list of IP addresses and domains available for the Exchange Server will be displayed below.
  • Step 13: From the list, select the IP and domain you wish to relay.
  • Step 14: After that, locate the Allow all computers which successfully authenticate to relay regardless of the list above option and tick the checkbox beside it.
  • Step 15: Wait for the on-screen process to complete.
  • Step 16: Once it is done, the SMTP server will initiate to send the email message.
  • Step 17: If the internal mail relay Processing error remains unresolved, contact us.
