IMAP:

  • Step 1: Incoming mail server: imap.suddenlink.net
  • Step 2: Server port number: 993
  • Step 3: Security type: SSL
  • Step 4: IMAP username: Your Suddenlink email address
  • Step 5: IMAP password: Your email account password

SMTP:

  • Step 1: Outgoing mail server: smtp.suddenlink.net
  • Step 2: Server port number: 465
  • Step 3: Security type: SSL
  • Step 4: SMTP username: Suddenlink email address
  • Step 5: SMTP password: Suddenlink email account password

Steps to configure the Suddenlink email settings in Windows Live Mail:

  • Step 1: First, launch Windows Live Mail by double-clicking its shortcut icon from the desktop.
  • Step 2: Click the Accounts menu at the top and select the Email tab.
  • Step 3: On the Add your email accounts screen, input your Suddenlink email address in the Email address field.
  • Step 4: Under Password, enter your Suddenlink email account password.
  • Step 5: Select the Manually configure server settings checkbox and click Next.
  • Step 6: On the Configure server settings screen, choose the IMAP option from the Server type drop-down menu.
  • Step 7: Under Server address, enter ‘imap.suddenlink.net’ as your incoming mail server name and then input port number 993 in the Port field.
  • Step 8: Select the Requires a secure connection (SSL) checkbox.
  • Step 9: On the right-side panel, enter ‘smtp.suddenlink.net’ in the Server address field.
  • Step 10: Enter port number 587 in the Port field.
  • Step 11: Select the following checkboxes for the outgoing mail server.
  • Step 12: Requires a secure connection (SSL)
  • Step 13: Requires authentication
  • Step 14: Under Logon user name, enter your Suddenlink email address.
  • Step 15: Click Next and then select Finish to complete configuring the Suddenlink email settings in Windows Live Mail.
