  • Step 1: Launch the Exchange Server Manager application on your computer.
  • Step 2: Locate and click the Administrative Groups option.
  • Step 3: Now, a window will open. Select the Administrative Groups Name option followed by Server.
  • Step 4: Click Server Name > Protocols > SMTP.
  • Step 5: Now, on the SMTP screen, locate the Default SMTP Virtual Server option and right-click on it.
  • Step 6: Choose the Properties option.
  • Step 7: Now, the Properties dialog box will appear on the screen.
  • Step 8: Click the Access tab and select the Relay option.
  • Step 9: In the Relay Restrictions dialog box, select the Only the list below option by clicking the radio button beside it.
  • Step 10: Similarly, choose the Allow all computers which successfully authenticate to relay, regardless of the listed above option by ticking the checkbox beside it.
  • Step 11: Click the OK button.
  • Step 12: Now, check if the unable to relay issue is solved in Exchange 2013.
  • Step 13: If not, the corrupted EDB database may be causing this issue.
  • Step 14: To solve the corrupted EDB database issue, run the EDB repair tool on your computer.
