How To Set Webmail Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-factor authentication is the safest way to avoid hackers and cybercriminals from accessing your mail account. It will require an OTP received on your registered mobile number to access your email. You can also use the authenticator app on your smartphone to open your Webmail account. To set Webmail two-factor authentication, follow the below steps.

  • Step 1:Go to the official Webmail website from your web browser.
  • Step 2:Enter your full Webmail email address and password correctly.
  • Step 3:Now, click on the toggle button next to Use the new Webmail Interface Preview. Click on the Login button.
  • Step 4:Once you are on your Webmail email account, click on the Settings section on the screen's left panel.
  • Step 5:Select the Password option from the displayed list and click Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Step 6:Now, select the option to set up two-factor authentication.
  • Step 7:If you have the authenticator app, select Enable with Google Authenticator.
  • Step 8:To verify via SMS, select the Enable with SMS option.
  • Step 9:If you have selected Two-factor authentication using the authentication app, enter your account's password when prompted and click on the Submit button.
  • Step 10:Now, use the Google Authenticator to scan the QR code on the screen to enter the six-digit code. Click Save.
  • Step 11:When two-factor authentication for your account is enabled, you will be logged out of your Webmail account.
  • Step 12:Now, you can log in to your Webmail account using the Google Authenticator app.
  • Step 13:If you are enabling two-factor authentication with SMS, enter your Webmail account password and mobile number.
  • Step 14:When you receive the six-digit code on your mobile, enter it correctly. You will be logged out after activation.
  • Step 15:Now, enter your email address and password correctly to log in to your account.
  • Step 16:Enter the six-digit code in the Login Token box. Click on the Login button.
  • Step 17:You can disable Webmail two-factor authentication when not needed.
