  • Step 6: Note: If you haven’t signed in to your account for more than 180 days, your Windstream account will be turned inactive.
  • Step 7: If you have forgotten your Windstream account password, then follow the instructions given below to reset it
  • Step 8: Visit the Windstream.net website.
  • Step 9: Click the My Account & Support option followed by Manage My Account.
  • Step 10: Enter your current account credentials in the respective fields.
  • Step 11: Click the Login button.
  • Step 12: On your account page, click the Change User Names, Passwords, & Email accounts command line.
  • Step 13: Now, click I forgot my password.
  • Step 14: Perform the instructions displayed on the screen.
  • Step 15: After resetting your account password successfully, try to sign in to your account using the new password.

Can’t Send Messages With smtp.windstream.net

This is another Windstream email issues encountered by most of the Windows Live Mail account users. To know how to fix it, follow the instructions given below.

  • Step 1: Launch Windows Live Mail.
  • Step 2: Select and right-click on your email account address.
  • Step 3: Choose the Properties option.
  • Step 4: Click the Servers tab.
  • Step 5: Select the My server requires authentication option.
  • Step 6: Now, navigate to the Advanced tab.
  • Step 7: Enter the 587 value in the Outgoing mail server port field.
  • Step 8: Click the Savebutton.
  • Step 9: Now, compose a new email and try to send it.
